>2022 is when the gap between them widened, Suisei continued with her growth while Mori stagnated
This didn't really occur in 2023~, even then they were still pulling a comparable amount of monthly viewers on youTube and listeners on Spotify
>due to various problems getting bad advice from the Trash Taste retards and other "friends".
Stop letting those retards live rent free in your head, man they're totally irrelevant to her
Her "stagnation" (it's hard to call it that considering grown on every other platform) was due to a bunch of algorithm changes pushed out by youtube around mid-2022 that meant to stop Kpop fans from being view-boost as easily as there were
This however effected vtubers as well since a bunch of limits on what a counts as a "view" were put in place hurt you if relayed upon a small but dedicated fanbases to loop their shit a bunch, now the "meta" is releasing really fancy/expensive MVs to draw an audience that doesn't normally listen to you (which something people like Suisei, Marine, or Ui do)
>Nonsense, Hololive was already growing exponentially, there would be zero hype for Myth if people didn't already know about Hololive prior to it. JP clips were around for months and steadily growing in popularity thanks to the Chinese clippers. Myth did not create the wave, they rode it.
Hololive had a nice bit of attention going for it around 2019-early 2020, but Myth's appearance objectively caused a rising tide in interest that benefited literally EVERYONE in the company, as well ostensibly gave birth to the western vtuber scene. It is not a hyperbole to say that from september 2020 to 2021 Hololive as a whole was just riding Myth's coattails
>Myth as a gen looked at objectively was entirely unremarkable
Myth is "unremarkable" but they were the first gen to have every single member reach 1 million subs, and one of their members STILL Holo's most subbed channel despite being functionally dead since 2023 and literally dead since June, curious!
>have actually done very little with the massive boost they got on debut. Even Gen 1 has had a full gen concert but Myth basically sat on their laurels for years
They didn't "sit on their laurels" they got massively fucked over by Japan's travel bans delaying the fuck out of their ability to use 3D/go to Cover's studio, and Cover itself seemed intent on treating its EN/ID branches as 2nd-class citizens until late 2022/early 2023. Shit would DRASICALLY different if they received the level of support newer gens like Advent have instead getting stuck with Omega/ENMA for the majority of their careers
