Former Israel Lover: Rod Stewart Claims Genocide in Gaza
----------------
Legendary British singer Rod Stewart, 80, launched a scathing attack on Israel's actions in Gaza, accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting "genocide." He said:
"What Netanyahu is doing to the Palestinians is exactly what happened to the Jews. It's genocide, and that's all he wants: to get rid of everyone. I don't know how they sleep at night."
In addition to his anti-Israel stance, Stewart announced that he had severed ties with US President Donald Trump, with whom he had previously been a close friend, due to his support for Israeli policy.
Stewart has visited Israel three times to perform: in 1983, 2010, and 2017.
He was much-loved by Israeli audiences at the time, but his now strident stance against the policies of the Israeli government has put him at the center of controversy.
