Tenten ended up being a joke character. She was already a joke even during the early seasons, when ninja tools weren't completely worthless.
But the comparison is apt, I'll agree to that. Izuna would have to become at least as good as Tenten(lmao) to at least graduate the Ninja Academy, and maybe she'd about the same level as Konohamaru(when he was still a kid, in early shippuuden). Thankfully, she's already got the sex appeal covered.
