Yes. In the game and OG timeline things went exactly how it did. OG Weiss was an asshole, Allen and Cynthia are together, Sherryl died, he was expelles from The Academy, He joins the Demon Lord and then is betrayed by him.
But the next thing he knew he looped back into the past at the point where he was whipping Lilith(the same place Current Weiss "woke up") and resolved to do things differently.
In his first loop he figures out he has a spell that allows hom to timeloo(how he got it is stil la mystery to him) and tried to do things differently to avoid his fate but Allen fails to kill the Demon Lord and the country is ruined.
So in his second loos he resolves become stronger but his shit attitude means he was still disliked and was eventually expelled again
So in the following loops, he changed his attitude completely and trained to become stronger and befriended everyone he could, Allen, Cynthia, Sherryl, Duke, Milk etc and he began to regret his behavior but no matter what he did no matter how strong he got, they all failed to kill the Demon Lord across the various loops.
Before he knew it he had looped more than 1k times and considering each loop meant living 4 years, he had been "living" for 4k years and was mentally broken from failing to save his friends again and again so summoned current Weiss to his body and awoke at the point he usually did: when he was whipping Lilith.
