Happened to all the Christians of the near east. Coptics, Syriacs, and Maronites all speak Arabic and have the same ethnicity, while Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks at least speak their own languages, but it's all the same in the end. They're all extremely mixed with each other and their neighbors, they're not even close to ancient Egyptians or Babylonians or Phoenicians or whatever the fuck they may claim. That includes Greeks, which are now turko-slavic mutts instead of ancient Greeks.
