That's the thing, AI doesn't make "new shit," it can't. Its always going to be derivative, and its going to plateau in quality because all pictures on the internet have already been scraped, and any new data sets are going to be poisoned with ai slop.
Thats a problem because using AI as input for a new model (synthetic data sets) end up severely self pruning and your quality plateaus really quickly because everything looks like some airbrushed aromasensei disney bimbo.
But try to get it to do something truly novel. The thing I've been trying, on and off, is to get the AI to make a hanging castle. Like from a bridge, or the top of a large cavern, a castle that is built upside down.
You can picture it in your head, and you could draw it, but try with AI and it just has a hard time because it has very little to draw on.
