Absolutely the total betrayal is unforgivable. Had I known how it would be handled, I wouldn't have voted for it. 1mn+ non Europeans PER YEAR is extinction level catastrophe. For context until 1997 the migration to the UK was between 30,000-50,000 per year and almost 90% of it was Europeans. It's utterly diabolical and I don't see a political way out for it.

It also didn't help with having people in charge who didn't even believe in it, who delayed it time and again and then being hit by the triple whammy literally all in the same year of leaving the EU, Covid happening a month later and the financial shocks from both those events at the same time. This is further worsened by collapsing services, massive overpopulation, enormous crime rate that is rapidly rising and a dead economy which has fully flatlined now and no jobs for people needing them.

We really are a powderkeg. The situation is eerily similar to several countries in the early 20th century and we know how each of those turned out.
