While on the topic of edginess, I should mention that cartoons don’t fuckin know how to do innuendos anymore.
This picture is of the mom from Win or Lose twerking in front of her daughter, that’s not a joke, that’s literally just a character doing a sexual dance.
Compare this to stuff like the clever "Dad’s Trophy" joke from Dexter’s Lab, kids wouldn’t think that the father likes his wifes ass, to them it’s just a word being in a weird random place, meanwhile the adults watching the show will get the joke, that’s how an innuendo works.
Another good example is how in Shrek when he sees Farquaads huge castle he says "Do you think maybe he’s compensating for something", kids won’t know Shrek’s talking about his dick size, they’ll just think he’s talking about his height, meanwhile the adults watching will get the joke.
There aren’t any clever innuendos in kids media anymore, they think that showing a character twerking is a joke. In all honesty knowing the amount of gooners in the industry the animator who worked on this scene probably fapped to it.
