There is more buffing in this game than Pathfinder on core tho
>play ranged guy
>have to apply rapid shot, that one soldier ability that activites after you kill three people, arch miltant buffs, officer buffs/master tact/strategist buffs just so the drukhari guy doesn't dodge my shot
>play melee guy
game becomes a chore unless Heinrix give me iron arms or the officer doesn't doesn't give me a extra turn
>play sniper guy
>have to apply mark
>have to do a ritual to pen armor and do mid damage compared to soldier argenta who can mag dump an entire bolter.
really the combat is dogshit ingame. it's only saving grace is the somewhat likeable character and story that shits the bed after act 3.
