The archeo-tech robots have been in the game since the start and magic/technology fusion is part of the design. People are less disturbed about Nod-Krai because it fits in better with the aesthetic and isn't a, I suppose, 2007 Honda Civic. If Nod-Krai were done the same way Natlan was, you'd see a WcDonald's and everyone would be carrying a Banana iDevice.
