ITT: help find films you've forgotten

I'm pretty sure it was animated but there is a boy who goes to his bedroom and is sucked underneath his bed by something and his father runs into his room and flips his bed over to try to save him but it's too late and there is a whole to another dimension left. The animation seemed really old like 1970s or 80s
