Age 10. Autistic but I had friends I had made on account of my mom's force of will when I was much younger. She arranged play dates with the neighborhood children and basically said "you are friends now". She kept saying that and putting us together until it stuck. School was going okay. I was on a school basketball team albeit the C tier one that took any kid who signed up. I had a super nintendo and copy of street fighter II. It was happy times. Then my father decided to move whole family to a new province. Lost all friends. Couldn't make new ones as, at age 11, my mom's old strategy didn't seem to work anymore. Mom gave up on that. My parents divorced. I did terribly in school. Autism problems increased due to all this stress. I never did make any friends or form any kind of normal social life. I made it through university but don't use my degree. I've been underemployed (or maybe appropriately employed for a fuck up like me) for 20 years.

I'm 41 now. It never got any better than the summer of 1993.
