Another angle no one seems to be talking about is operational exhaustion — both material and human — which the IDF is walking into at full speed.

I ran a rough model to estimate how long Israel can sustain the current operational tempo, and the numbers are pretty revealing. The Israeli Air Force has roughly 340 fighter aircraft, with an estimated readiness rate of 60–80%, so let’s say around 250–270 available at any given time.

On the personnel side, there are about 3,000 pilots, but not all are combat-ready or active — factoring in leave, rotation, and specialization, I’d estimate readiness at 60–70%, which puts the available pilot pool at 1,800–2,100. That gives you maybe 750 to 1,000 potential sorties per day under perfect conditions — meaning no accidents, no pilot fatigue, and flawless logistics.

Now, we’ve seen 200–400 sorties per day during recent strikes on Iran. At that pace, even with optimized rotation, pilot fatigue becomes a real constraint within 7 to 14 days. And that’s just human exhaustion — mechanical fatigue hits even faster.

Consider this: these jets are flying long-range missions, loaded with extra fuel tanks, which increases strain on engines, airframes, and onboard systems. In such conditions, I’d speculate that each aircraft needs deep maintenance every 4 days or so — possibly sooner depending on loadout and turnaround protocols.

That means, realistically, we’re looking at maybe 3 to 5 more days at this tempo before either:

maintenance bottlenecks reduce sortie rate,

pilots hit cognitive fatigue thresholds,

or worse — both.

The operation has already been going for almost 72 hours, so unless there's a strategic shift or a cooldown, we’re approaching the point where the tempo becomes unsustainable, regardless of intent or necessity.

This will either fizze out or the US will join. The IDF can't sustain it alone.

Dirty nuke is all they need. Salted cobalt is water soluble and it would poison the entire region for centuries. Pakistan can also get involved, China and Russia.. it's GG for the world if this keeps escalating.
