It's not the technology advancement itself that breaks our immersion, but specifically how they implement it, e.g certain objects that looks like specific real-life modern appliances and look out of place compared to their surroundings (roller skates, motorbike, fucking DJ turntable in the middle of a mesa)
Nod-Krai's technology lean more into the fantasy-technological side and fits the existing technology just fine (ruin golems, liyue fatui factory, fatui jetpacks and guns, etc) The fat fatui cryogunners use a cryo Jetpack/Booster and no one bitches about them breaking immersion. There're less people bitching about nodkrai / fontaine / sumeru technology than Natlan because of this
