Who knows, some women are flirty so they'll let you know right away, sometimes they're shy and insecure so they'll keep sending weird signals because they think you don't like them back, sometimes they'll punch/kick you because they're too shy to let you know how they feel, sometimes they'll treat you like shit because you already rejected them in their mind.
