To hoe around, play the field in their 20's. Then raise their educational and income levels high as possible and expect a man to be a minimum of what they are, but are only satisfied if that man is better educated and make an additional 50% of what they make. They think if they make 80k, 100k+ they are deserving of a man that makes 100k+.
The problem is most men will gloss over them because the woman's life style is too expensive and the woman will not lower a life style she worked for. Not only is she now demanding, her looks have faded. So the kind of men she wants will always pass her. Then there are men that make as much or more than her but don"t have the diplomas for education so they're ruled out. Or men that have the education but don't make her income but still make a solid living, so they're ruled out. Then there is an aspect of bitterness or being jaded. I don't think a lot of men want to settle down in their 30's with a woman a similar age to them. They could have possibly been passed up by similar women in their 20s. So they figure if you didn't want me when I was building myself up then you don't deserve to meet me at the finish line.
Women's nature pretty much selected them out of relationships.
