There are good and legal to own and read recourses out there (not the fucking anarchists cookbook). It is absolutely not something to play around with. If you haven't read and practiced means, quality control and, methods with non volatile reactions first. Also you need to understand if you get caught even with the means to make any actual explosives the feds can hard fuck you for constructive intent.
This is a seriously good read, but not the only one of it's class or type. I just happened to inherited it a few years ago. I'm trained in explosives handling and storage and I don't fuck with trying to make any of it. Kinda want to try and make military ball powder from it's instructions at some point, but that's completely legal as long as I don't go crazy with the quantities.
