Some stuff betrays the fact that he wasn't that involved in the script, for example the fact that soul gems darkening makes your attacks weaker, it's a misinterpretation of something Kyubey said when he told Sayaka if she doesn't have more seeds she won't stand a chance against Kyouko, but the reason is that Kyouko was able to use more magic due to having grief seeds, not literally being physically stronger due to her gem being darker, while in the PSP game that's how it works and it makes some sections like the Elsa Maria section with Sayaka in the Madoka route literal hell to play with because you do 0 damage since Sayaka is about to witch out at that point
