I have been using MTL to help me sure but I've also been going through the sentences to better translate them by hand either during or after in order to actually make them all accurate, and I've also been looking up specific phrases and language terms to help with that in the process and have gotten better at it as time has gone on.
a good example of this is Perili because of her odd way of speaking, but it's actually the Parasitic Lifeform of all things who's been the main catalyst for me trying to improve the accuracy of what comes out to the extent that I have, because otherwise every single thing it says becomes completely garbled and loses all the original meaning and tone.

For example MTL gives:
>"Wonderful, you have collected the orbs in place of our generation. Thank you, shota, a creature also known as a barrel(?!)"
When what the Parasitic Lifeform is actually saying is more accurately:
>"How magnificent, that you have managed to gather the orbs in our place. We thank you, creature called shota."
which is why I'm not going to purely rely on an MTL even if it helps a bit
I don't think it's anything to get too upset about either way
(also they actually gave the Parasite new cg's, kinda neat)
