I like the theory that the first three will have the pairs as units but the latter pairs will be done as rivals (Lilja, Mao, China). Hard to say with how the Re;Iris/Begrazia will work since there's no chance Saki or Ume will pair up.

I think I'm most excited for Mao because, whether it's a rival or a unit, adding Rinami to any route sounds cursed as hell.
