>KH2 absolutely has more depth than 1
I genuinely, wholly fucking disagree. KH2 doesn't have anywhere NEAR the depth of KH1. Active abilities in KH2 are all given at static checkpoints, removing early/midgame build variation. Magic is functionally infinite if the player is willing to play like a pussy, which the game does nothing substantial to prevent outside of a handful of boss gimmicks. Defense is vastly less interesting with the removal of keyblade weight and the massive functional buffs to blocking, removing any semblance of choice between Block/Parry/Dodge Roll. Blocking ITSELF is wholly invalidated by Reflect so long as you have magic in damn near every circumstance beyond the 2-3 enemies with threatening enough ranged attacks to be worth saving the MP. Summons are far less situational and interesting beyond a handful of situations like Chicken Little having the niche use of being a proto-magnet for like one world before you get Magnet, a spell which handicaps most challenges arising from enemy positioning to a comical degree. I could go on.
People only think KH2 has more depth because it feels more like a standard, snappy action game, but in most cases that's to its active detriment as an ARPG. The way 90% of the encounters in the game are approached is vastly less interesting than KH1. KH1 only suffers that sort of problem in the TURBO lategame when you have shit like the Goofy MP Engine running, and by that point it's throwing shit like Behemoths and Invisibles and Darkballs at you.

Anon, if you are genuinely unironically associating timpani drums with fetishism, you are a projecting closet case and you need to see a therapist. There is not a single person on this earth who would associate that sound effect with porn if they're not already into it.
