okay simple answer: tlcm, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, gigachad is an invasive species in the memetic ecology, everyone has the same chudthoughts as you, nothing is beyond our reach, because physical wounds heal
long answer:
the modern internet political segregation descends from chanology->gamergate. you have to remember what separated the sides in the early days: one was srsbsns hacktivist anonymoose moralfags, the other was for the lulz hitler mt. dew irreverent trolls
the left's inheritance of that had an early strong hand in easier access to normies and used aggressive SJW policing (which was political correctness on steroids) to hold dominance. left memes that developed from that were primarily pronouncing their ingroup status ("be gay do crimes"), stagnating into circlejerks (the continued repetition of dril quotes) and sclerosis (beating away anyone that is le problematic, see bsky's proud insularity)
right memes developed in hostile ecosystems and had to work on subconscious affirmation even when violating liberal mores, using dogwhistles or ambiguous extremist affiliation (pepe, OK hand sign, yes chad, laser eyes, skull masks) so that normies would inadvertently spread them (or enemies would stupidly streisand them). this hostile environment continued even into the trump era (see the great deplatforming). the adaptations of right-wing memes to thrive in duress made them function as memes far better than left-wing ones that were incestuous in their safety (see the forced harris memes and how they didn't work but they felt like they were Winning with them)
after numerous failures to suppress right-wing memes, the left wants to coopt them to neutralize them that way (this isn't new to this year, see dark brandon). but they also think they're mega brainiacs and can't fathom the right worked implicit/layered meanings into memes, so they just post them straight with left messages and wonder why they aren't Winning Da Meme War
