Eastern Germans are 24-33% Slavic in R1a alone (it doesn't include I2a-Slav), the methodology in question sequenced only Germans with obviously Slavic surnames, ignoring the masses of Germans with Germanic surnames (while ignoring the obvious Germanization of Eastern Germany that lasted for centuries).

Not to mention that Bavaria has identical percentages of Slavic Y-DNA and next to zero Slavic surnames (barring Yugoslav diaspora), further confirming the abovementioned.
