Russian media report that in the morning, the Kapitan Ushakov tug sank at the pier of the Baltic Shipyard in St. Petersburg.
According to preliminary information, completion work on the tug, which was moored at the pier, was being carried out. During the repairs, the vessel listed to the starboard side, and, as reported by the shipyard, "there was a struggle" to save the tug and stop its listing "throughout the night."
At the moment, the vessel has settled on the bottom on its starboard side. As a result of the incident, the auxiliary machinery room was flooded.
