This guy gets it. NOAA and NWS cuts have NOTHING to do with this Texas flood tragedy.
This event was forecast and adequately warned with heightened language even ("deadly flash flood wave").
The issue is simply that when these events happen at night (eg, Helene in NC, Mayfield KY tornado, TX Hill Country floods) many people simply don't get or ignore the warnings.
