I watched fleshstreamers on Twitch, learned about vtubers because Melody doing Chaturbate streams made waves really early on. I watched one and thought the tech was really cool but that wasn't really the content I was interested in. Later I watched Mel, Mouse, Silver, and Bunny voice Doki Doki Literature Club and thought the idea of girls with cute voices piloting vtuber models while playing games was cool. Later I watched the Fall Guys collab with Nyan, and saw the formation of VShojo. After that I kept watching some fleshstreamers, some VShojo members, and indies but started watching less fleshstreamers over time. After learning that some companies own their vtubers IPs, I became scared of vtubers I watch graduating and starting over as a different vtuber with a different friend group. That turned me off from watching most vtuber corpos and led me to watching more big indies, that are very attached to their IP and community with little desire to graduate.
