Man I am just building a bigger and bigger headcanon every time I hear something like this.
My new headcanon after absorbing that post:
>blast is a guy like saitama in terms of strength
>he was a hero 18 years ago at least, and at least recently enough to have been a member of the association, so at least 15 years of hero work
>saitama saw blast as a kid (saitama would have been 7 years old when blast was working as a hero at minimum) and saw him beat monsters with one punch
>this makes blast the original one punch man
>but blast got bored of hero work and eventually quit
>the final arc of the webcomic will be saitama reconciling with blast, the role model for who he is now, and they'll come to the conclusion that it's fine to stop doing hero work when you stop enjoying it
>saitama will take his place as the number one hero
Somebody get ONE on the line I think I'm either onto something, or the schizophrenia is finally getting to me
