I've been playing the LA enhanced recently, some parts are cool, some are pretty damn annoying. In particular, the base accuracy/weapon sway is genuinely abysmal. and traversal is a pain with the stamina/move speed changes on some of LA's big maps. It's one of those mods where you don't gain stamina while walking without artifact boosts, made early maps a pain but with artifacts it's not so bad.
At least you can tweak the combat/economy difficulty easily in the menu, at least. I just kept things at veteran and edited some files to make the skill increases more impactful.
