Everything surrounding the lore was genuinely fascinating. Everyone got hung up on the Pokemon-fucking, despite that clearly just being an attempt at a Pokemonification of Native American mythology, while the actually interesting lore of Arceus and Regigigas was mostly ignored.
Just the fact that the lore surrounding them was never properly revealed but Game Freak still autistically followed it for over a decade is amazing.
