>going beyond having animal ears and a tail makes the design not a kemonomimi
disagree. there is a difference between "pushing past kemomimi" and "pushing into anthro." having a physiology distinct from humans is what takes it all the way. if your character has fur, ears, tail, claws, but plantigrade feet and literally a human face/skull, they might have more going on than average mimi, but no one is going to call that anthro.
example, Beast from XMen.
> if you think they’re costume-like
like i said, sometimes they are literally just women in costumes.
>>the nose and mouth that stick out from the face of some animal
then most animals on the planet have a snout, including us. which pretty heavily devalues the concept and term, don't you think?
>you can literally the whole mouth protruding from the face
you really can't. the slope of her forehead, the curve of the bridge of her nose, the jutting of her chin, all are comparable to all the other human designs in the game.
hey, are you that same anon who tried to say the Woren from BoF4 were anthro? it doesn't seem to take much to get you to accept a character as anthro, even when they've got an absolutely human face stretched over their absolutely human skull.
