Gen Z was more receptive to the messaging we grew up with than the older generations realize.
Nearly all media involving alcohol, especially if the media is comedic, depicts alcoholics as retarded self-destructive maniacs. Gen Z prefers safer things for entertainment like videogames or weed. Weed's not perfect either but potheads haven't reached the level of destruction alcoholics have yet.
Sneaking out and partying haven't been depicted very nicely either. I'd say Gen Z is far more risk averse than past generations, for better or for worse.
