>like cows being led to slaughter
Op, your shitpost thread lead me down an rabbit hole searching AI. This is /biz/ related to a doctor or anyone investing in bio-pharma stocks. I thought it was interesting that when a person or animal is close to death, their brain will release endorphins to help calm them and endure extreme pain and potentially provide an opportunity for escape.
>Beta-endorphins (β-endorphins)
>Enkephalins
>Dynorphins
Conversely, these endorphins could also serve to calm a person who should be frantically fighting for their life. What does the victim gain from going quietly? Why not fight for life with every last breath? Is it just a case of when nothing else could have been done? How does one know when all hope is gone? What if it was just a false alarm? What if you gave up but you could have lived?
