I have a weird mixed take on mobility. As an Xbox player all I got is a stick and the inconsistent shit ass aim assist that veers between "it's practically a lock-on" and "it's not working", so mobility is a fucking bitch to fight and it's real tiresome in ZB that like how Build players turn into turbobuilds on damage, any hint of losing a fight has someone try to fly away like their ass is on fire. Rifts in OG were a fucking mistake for this front, people will just camp the rifts and instantly rotate the moment they're pushed, then fly over to the next rift ready to do it again.
On the flip side, these maps are like, GTA3 map scale easy, gigantic fuckall zones of nothing to do but drive/rotate/sprint around everywhere and hope someone with an accuracy weapon doesn't catch your ass in the open, especially on ZB. They crippled car spawns because the comp hate them, Shockwaves became super limited drops, Bass Boost sucks as a mobility tool besides in a pinch, and Robins' grappler is a limited one-per-match mythic. And it becomes agonizingly clear these maps are now designed with retarded amounts of mobility in mind, because without them the game just becomes an agonizingly retarded slog.
