The mind slows down. You can feel your skeleton. Reality slows down, too. Then it feels like you're under water; reality feel fluid. You only drown when you panick. Layer, the skull begins to vibrate, and the brain feels like its pulsating, like you can feel your heartbeat in your brain. Then your eyes feel weird, you see static everywhere, then behind your eyes begin to burn, but its not unpleasant, just different. Then your head begins to burn, same as your eyes, and you can hear people, and talk to them, or preform some effect in the collective reality.
