Note how the base construction of ham-hams differs from actual hamsters:
- Eyes socket is 'filled out' to reduce the slant, leaving big circular moe eyes. You can see despite the many camera angles the eyes are never partially occluded by bone.
- The upper lip is smaller. It rests on only a portion of the cheeks. No philtrum as well.
- Overall body structure is more round, less angular.
Companies that sell cutesy things like Sanrio and Chiikawa are also worth studying.
