Realistically, the Ducktales reboot was supposed to look very different from what we got, at least according to most Ducktales pitch bibles. One version looked very similar to the comics by Carl Barks and Don Rosa, where Scrooge's entire life would be covered, the second version was identical to the old Disney Afternoon, and the third version was supposed to be inspired by Italian comics, there was even a plan to hire many of the Italian artists who worked on the Donald Duck comics.

So we could have gotten one of those offered choices, but no, Disney wanted a Gravity Falls rip-off and when Gravity Falls ended, they canceled Wander Over Yander (which Angones was working on at the time) and had Angones and Youngberg make Nu-Ducktales in which the main characters would not be Donald and Scrooge, but Mary Sue Webby and the disgusting triplets.

They killed so much potential that I despise Disney even more than before. The worst was the third season, especially the penultimate episode before the finale. Disgusting in itself! Not to mention that Disney supposedly banned the Cabs series from being shown because of some "competition" with Ducktales until it was leaked to the public. And now we will never really get any quality duck content at all, because Disney killed it along with their stupid remakes. Yes, there is a Darkwing Duck reboot that will be out who knows when, but I doubt it will be successful, although I would like to be wrong. I will still go back to older media and comics, which I can enjoy, and I don't care about Nu-Disney, let them fail until the end.
