These Russian drones on the images fly over our homes every night and attack us.

We are living through the direct consequences of Russia scaling up production - right above our heads.

People often ask me what life in Ukraine is like.
It's sleepless nights spent staring at your phone, tracking what's flying and where.
It's shuddering from explosions as you are terrified for your child.
It's fear and exhaustion.
It's defiance and fury.
It's the feeling that we've aged several lifetimes… and look decades older than we actually are.

As for the footage published by Russians, showing a factory producing Shahed attack drones - they're being assembled in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in Russian Tatarstan.

The video shows:

▪ Mass production of fiberglass airframes, which simplifies and speeds up manufacturing;
▪ Assembly line production of fully assembled drone bodies;
▪ Young people at work - it's noted that students from a local college and even high schoolers are involved.
This clearly reflects a shortage of labor.

Russia is trying to make up for this by recruiting workers from Africa and Central Asia.
There was also a reported agreement to bring in workers from Laos.

◾ According to sources from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, as of mid-May 2025, Russia was producing around 170 Shahed-type drones per day, including decoy versions.
By the end of the year, Russia aims to ramp up production to 190 drones daily.

◾ In 2022, the cost of a single Shahed drone was estimated at $196,000.
Today, due to scaling and modernization, the cost has decreased significantly.

Hundreds of drones attack during one night, often taking a Ukrainian city in a circle, reaching targets from different directions.
