This vid was often attributed to the rise in CRT demand, and it's indeed been about 5 years now. Quite a lot of influencer slop has come out since too.
But there's also been very good developments because of this, eg gamma-corrected cumulative deviation response time measurements that were developed by CRT enthusiasts and are now used by all major display reviewers. So many more people understand blurbusters test now too, and motion clarity in general is a lot less mysterious topic these days.

Build it, and they'll come. Assuming you can build it economically enough, which isn't possible anymore.
