reminder to NOT use bbviewer or browsers for screenshotting or recording if you want the highest quality source captures. instead, play the pluto stream through VLC (or even through OBS) so you can record or capture the raw video frame with the VLC snapshot button or record the raw video frames using streamlink paired with VLC.
and definitely do not record/screenshot from paramount plus streams. the p+ stream has lower bitrate and it's more heavily compressed than the pluto stream.
and please don't use the firefox snapshot fuction on either p+ or pluto, as you'll get some compressed shitty jpeg

for the highest quality captures, you want to get the original *1280x720 resolution* with the highest stream being from pluto played through VLC. all other resolutuions are distorted..
this means the paramount+ "1080p" option is fake and it's to match app/browser expectation as it's upscaled from 720p. so the "1080p" p+ stream is worse than the p+ 720p stream as the image will be further transcoded and slightly distorted due to it not being the orignal resolution.
the "1080p" p+ stream option is also obviously worse than the 720p pluto stream.
