Except it's not. Yeah peak player count is going down, but the base player count stays roughly the same. Which tracks for literally any other game in existence. There's the period where everyone plays it because it's the hottest new thing, and then once a lot of people get bored and leave, you are left with the dedicated playerbase. FYI ~50k base player count for a ft hero shooter is still some really good numbers.
