Pretty much. Big, low compression engines are extraordinarily forgiving with their fuel quality. Unless a particular engine was built out of potmetal junk or is extremely hopped up, it's (anecdotally) rare to see a wrecked valvetrain due to just using modern fuel. Mostly all sloppy old valvetrains I've fixed have been in engines that were obviously otherwise abused or had neglected oil changes.
