daily reminder to anyone unironically using the words beta or alpha: betas and alphas are two sides of the same coin, both chase the things society has told them to chase out of fear, which is all based on primitive monkey instincts, the only difference being how effective they are at it.
It's true you have to fit in to some degree in order to survive, have some social skills, some practical skills, get a job and such. But it's your choice to act like a slave about it, and forcing others to think and act the same is only a cope, not a cure and you will eventually die anyway like everybody else so might as well enjoy the things you enjoy.
