please stop recommending mint to newcomers, debian/ubuntu based distros are terrible for newcomers because newcomers just want to play video games and use discord and not fuck around with ppas, a terminal, and messing with graphic drivers

just install an arch derivative with a GUI installer like cachy or whatever the fuck is popular now, theyre designed for gaming so your hardware will just werk and you get up to date packages through arch repo and AUR, none of that "oh no my screen went black on nvidia because i forgot to set a kernel parameter!"
