“I see.” you say, hanging your head and sighing out. You'd figured that your son would have to die to kill that parasite, but you'd held out a sliver of hope that it wasn't true. That there would be a way to save him. “Does Gine and Kakarot know?”
“I don't know. If they were watching the fight, they know.” Nappa answers, your eyes snapping over towards him.
“What?” you say, a hard edge to your voice.
“That Tuffle called her out specifically, wanted the one-on-one on Vox. Wanted to beat her at her own game.” Nappa continues, you clenching your fists in frustration. You'd wanted to break the news to Gine yourself, but if she's already seen it... You're going to have to comfort her when you get out of here. “But now that it's over, we have another problem.”
“What's that?” you ask, worried. To which King Vegeta answers.
“Those parasites are still inside you. We have to figure out a way to get them out, else someone else could hijack that signal and take control of you just like that bastard did.” the king tells you, and with a gesture shuts down the gravity chamber. He then walks over, pressing two buttons on the control panel, deactivating and opening the bindings on your extremities. Deactivating the training devices as he walks over, holding a hand down to you. “Not just you, but everyone that monster infected.”
“Right.” you reply, taking his offered hand and pulling yourself up to your feet with a grunt. “Daiko?”
“Daiko.” the king replies with a nod, Nappa slapping you across the back.
“Good t' have you back, Bardock.” he says, Leyas and Sarada coming over as well. Which confuses you, weren't they on that same mission? Weren't they infected as well? Then how-?
“Karn saved us, when we all invaded along with those godlings.” Sarada answers your unasked question, you raising a brow. As the five of you leave she explains how he'd somehow thrown lightning from his fingertips at the two of them, which fried the nanomachines inside the two of them. But that, even in their Primal forms they'd barely survived. And you'd been knocked unconscious by the king, and reverted back to your base form once out of it. Unable to survive the same electrocution, else they'd have saved you the same way.
“So, what you're saying is, I'm going to have to power up, then have a deadly electric shock sent through my body?” you ask, leaving the palace and taking to the air with the four of them as you all fly towards the scientist's tower outside the city. The city well-outside the blast radius of their experiments, should one go awry. “Great.”
