The one and only single solitary advice that I can honestly give you that isn't the generic "get a life" is to work on your self esteem. It's the difference between working a shit job and a good job. Between a bitch wife and a good wife. Between a happy life and a sad life. And no - you're not going to just get a diploma and find it, or lift heavy weights and find it, or get a promotion and find it. Believe me I'm surrounded by people who are constantly chasing this need to be accepted by people and they are doing everything short of killing themselves for other people to validate them. Absolutely do not do this under any circumstances. You don't need to be liked by everyone - you need to do whatever you want and accept the fact that some people will love you and some people will hate you and that's for the best.
