Matthew 21:43 states that "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit". This verse, spoken by Jesus, signifies that the Kingdom of God will no longer belong to the jews who rejected Him, but will be given to a new "nation" (or people) that will live in accordance with God's will and produce spiritual "fruit".
