>I thought Nietzsche was the "everything is hopeless" guy, but I haven't read.
That's a common misconception, one I had too. But really he's about a radical acceptance of life, for all its qualities, good and bad; and a championing of the individual will to overcome the herd and life's challenges. His philosophical works are more spiritual than people give him credit for, although he avoided such notions in life, the man was pretty hard on himself.
Give Weltgiest on YouTube a watch for his video essays on Nietzsche if you're curious.

>A therapist once recommended me to read about Solzhenitsyn and his work on the "Gulag" to try and convince me not to kill myself.
Never read any of his stuff, to be understood can help the most in such situations, along with a strong enough why to keep going. Did you end up reading any of Solzhenitsyn?
It's good you took so many photos honestly; helps to connect, share, relive and learn.
