You doubt she is going to let an Asterite die, anyway; dealing with the pernicious magic detained inside their bodies sounds like a chore and Rosandra seems like the kind of woman to hate chores.
The Magus’ eyes have been sewed open, so that she can look at the light of Her sun without ever missing a moment — they have long-since been cooked, turned greasy and dull like the marbles you used to play with as a child.
Rosandra’s petitioning keeps the Magus in a state of perennial pain. She is going to rot on that wooden shaft for a long, long time.
This, you muse, this is much scarier than a bunch of lizardmen.
But the huge one is still charging at you, so you straighten up and get ready to face him.
Your hand closes around your cameo, trying to draw strength from Saint Bragia. Someone would say you were tracing her steps.
Wonder where Willow is right now…
