You walked in the Night. And rebuked it.
Ignoring him, you toss a look at Rosandra, who is watching the whole scene. Without raising a finger, of course. She is too busy holding the wooden shaft upon which she impaled the Asterite that tried to kill her, a cycle ago.
The woman’s body is pierced through like a sausage ready for roasting, the wooden tip coming out of her mouth, but she still shakes and groans. She is still alive.
You doubt she is going to let an Asterite die, anyway; dealing with the pernicious magic detained inside their bodies sounds like a chore and Rosandra seems like the kind of woman to hate chores.
The Magus’ eyes have been sewed open, so that she can look at the light of Her sun without ever missing a moment — they have long-since been cooked, turned greasy and dull like the marbles you used to play with as a child.
Rosandra’s petitioning keeps the Magus in a state of perennial pain. She is going to rot on that wooden shaft for a long, long time.
This, you muse, this is much scarier than a bunch of lizardmen.
But the huge one is still charging at you, so you straighten up and get ready to face him.
Your hand closes around your cameo, trying to draw strength from Saint Bragia. Someone would say you were tracing her steps.
Wonder where Willow is right now…
… you would much rather be crossing swords with someone your caliber.

>combat roll: Best of 6, 1d100+23 (+12 from cameo): 1d100+35 total, beat at least two of my rolls at the top of this post. Remember you get a critical success on any natural roll of 97-100. Dubs and trips apply.

>For new players: welcome! If you have questions, feel free to write them below! I'll do my best to answer them.

Welcome, one and all! Welcome back to the adventures of our plucky Knight… now perhaps a bit less plucky than before. I hope you’ll have fun and take the right decisions. Remember it’s a dangerous world out there. I want to thank you all for your enduring support, and once more Anon’s commission. It’s now the face of the thread, how cool is that! Hope you’ll have fun. It’s great having you here once again. And thanks for playing!
