Nobody knows anything about that horse. Nobody will know anything about that horse for years.
Of course people are going to judge their opinion on the design and the guys that always post them rather than their story or personality. It's easier to like a character that's currently in the story because you have more to go on than just their design versus that one horse you only know because Anonymoose posts her a lot and says she's the best. That and repetition tends to breed contempt and people might just simply get annoyed after seeing it one too many times.
