>Ask Olivia for help.
Lorene exhales. Yeah, no. She’d just left them. There was no possible way the two had already gotten into life-threatening danger that quickly. From what she’d learned of the wolf-girl over the past half-day, this was almost certainly some over-exaggerated misunderstanding. If she kept splitting her efforts off for these distractions, she’d never find her parents. Best to just focus on one thing at a time.
After sending off an obligatory ‘Everything okay?’ reply to the frantic message wall from Clover, Lorene decides to call Olivia. The girl picks up on the first ring.
“How’d it go??!”
Her friend’s voice is filled with anxious concern. Lorene hesitates, before admitting to herself that the situation warranted all the help she could get. “Hey Olivia. …Listen. Could you meet me at my house in thirty minutes?”
“Oh… that bad, huh…… I’ll bring some ice cream. Then I’ll give your parents a piece of my mind!!”
“No, it’s, uh… I don’t want to talk about it over the phone. Can you just meet me there?”
“…Yeah, of course. Is everything alright?” Olivia had picked up that something was different. She always did.
“…Hopefully. See you there.” Lorene hangs up as she reaches the bus stop. Then she sighs, seeing all the route changes she’d need to make to get back home.
